A Torch Against the Night is the second installment of the An Ember in the Ashes series, In this tale we continue on in the story still following our three main characters and their next steps in this war. I almost enjoyed this book more than the first. If you are in the mood for a good series, I recommend picking this one up

WorldEnd: What do you do at the end of the world? Are you busy? Will you save us? I’m sorry I just had to put the whole title. This is a harem light novel about a human being stuck in a world of monsters. The main characters takes a job one with a bunch of girls who happen to be weapons capable of mass destruction.

The Betting Vow is a quirky, fun romance novel. Leila is a famous model and Carter is a famous producer of sorts. The two of them engage in a game of cards and get themselves in trouble. With each other. The title is very literal. If you are in the mood for a love story, don’t hesitate to pick this one up.

Not My Blood

Not My Blood is a crime/mystery novel based in the 1930s. Following Joe Sandilands, we are introduced to his friend’s son, who is in danger. This leads us on a chase to find out who a killer is and how many are there. This novel digs deep into the secrets so be prepared for the journey.

My book review

Those are all my reviews for December. I read seven lovely books and could not be more happy. Everyone should take the time to just pick up a book and discover a whole new world.

  1. I can’t believe I missed your review to “WorldEnd: Longest title in the universe”. Glad to have seen it here so I could go back and enjoy your breakdown of anime bullshit (and I’m saying “anime bullshit” in an endearing way, love these whacko’s).
