Now presenting: The December Owlcrate box!
Theme
: Tales of Trickery
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Owlcrate is a monthly subscriptions box that runs for around $35 a month. Each month is a different theme and comes with a signed hardcover in every box. You will always get your money’s worth, it’s just a matter of what tastes you have.

Now, on to the Unboxing!

First up we have the amazing ear muffs inspired by Caraval. These fuzzy soft ear protectors are worn around the bottom of your head. Unfortunately, they refuse to stay up on my head but I will fight with everything I have to keep using them cause boy are they warm.

Next up is a lovely knitted hand warmer pouch for my least liked type of heat warmer. This gelatin solidifies to produce heat but once solidified can only be boiled to return it back to its previous liquid form. This is super DUPER annoying but hey at least it has a quote from Sky in the Deep on it.

Now, on to my favorite item! The book sleeve that was previously revealed. Although, I immediately knew this quote was from Sorcery of Thorns. Ugh such a good book and this is a great quality material.

To the right is the lovely candle from a Grace and Fury (Never read). Although, I really do love this scent! I really want more candles but I’m glad Owlcrate doesn’t do the same item over and over again.

And finally, we are on to the pin of the month. This castle is inspired by the book of the month but it really is just a castle. I added this one to my pin collection instantly.

The next two items you see are the most unique and exclusive to Owlcrate. They made a coloring book of all their exclusive pins from this year. This is their first year doing enamel pins and I am a much happier buyer because of it.

They also included the coloring pencils that you see which is great because I actually do not have any coloring pencils. The coloring book doesn’t really have much inside but I love the thought.

On to the Book of the Month! We have an exclusive green cover of The Guinevere Deception by Kristen White. Ugh, I am in love with this cover art. The green is a little weird but that’s okay. This is a King Arthur retelling with Guinevere being the main character.

Altogether, this was such a nice box. As for the theme… there wasn’t really one? It was mostly a look back on the years of Owlcrate and basing the items on their past. Which I did not mind.

    1. So Owlcrate definitely has a lot of Fantasy novels. They do post a summary of the book before the box goes on sale tho! I definitely recommend Once Upon a Book Club box. The Adult and Young Adult books are mostly contemporary!
